Vein Problems

Surgery of the venous system include isolated removal of small clusters of varicose veins, vein injections and surgery for more extensive varicosities.

Removal of varicose veins, including the saphenous vein, secondary varicose vein clusters and division of incompetent perforators can be performed in those patients who suffer sequelae of venous stasis disease, pain or recurrent phlebitis.

Removal of varicosities is accomplished with a minimally invasive technique.  Through small incisions a resector is inserted and the veins are excised under vision by transilluminating through the skin.  This technique allows surgery on extensive varicosities with a short recovery and minimal incisions.
